Jerry Hugh Miller, 79, of Brandon passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023 in Flowood.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30pm on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Flowood. The family will receive friends from 11:00am – 12:30pm. Funeral will begin at 12:30pm. in the chapel. There will be a graveside service at 3pm at Mars Hill Cemetery in Edinburg (Remus), MS.

Jerry retired from the US Postal Service. He loved fishing and won several tournaments. His trophies took over one of the walls in the family room. He was very competitive. Played cards with friends, loved traveling, & bargain shopping with his wife. Later in life, he started playing Golf & met his buddies at Pearl Municipal Golf course 3 days a week. He loved it.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Maurice Miller; siblings, Elaine Miller Tucker, James Thomas Miller, Jack Miller, and infant brother, Joe Charles Miller.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Genelle; son, James Garland Bowen, Jr.; daughter, Sherry McAfee (Wayne); brother, Jimmy Lee Miller (Jeannine); and sister, Eva Nell Jones & many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved "grand-dogs" Bella & Bo.
