Jerry W. Grace—a man whose roots ran deep and whose branches stretched wide—left this world on May 29, 2026, with his beloved wife, Cyndi, holding his hand. After a courageous fight with Parkinson’s and Lewy Body Dementia, Jerry’s journey came to a close in the warmth of family—the same warmth he cultivated throughout his life.
Starting life rooted in a Mississippi farming community, Jerry grew up understanding the value of hard work and perseverance. At just 17, he endured the profound loss of his father—a turning point that called him to rise in both strength and purpose. Even as a successful student, he became a pillar for his family, leading with quiet courage, resilience, and an unwavering sense of responsibility.
After college, Jerry began his career at the Bank of Yazoo City, where he served as an Agribusiness Officer. In this role, he became a trusted friend and advisor to many farmers throughout the Yazoo area, earning their respect through his knowledge, integrity, and genuine care for their livelihoods. It was during these formative years—rooted in hard work and community—that Jerry also met Cyndi, beginning the partnership that would shape the rest of his journey.
Jerry grew into a leader whose vision and integrity helped shape the United States Sugar Corporation in South Florida, where he thrived as a corporate executive. His work was never simply a job—it was a legacy built on fairness, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to nurturing both people and plants. Whether coaxing sugar cane to flourish or mentoring colleagues, Jerry believed in growth, patience, and the steady hand that leads with kindness.
A proud alumnus of Mississippi State University and member of the Farmhouse Fraternity, Jerry’s loyalty never wavered. He remained actively involved, championing future generations and sharing wisdom with the same enthusiasm he brought to his college years. His fraternity brothers and Bulldog family will remember him fondly.
Faith was a cornerstone of Jerry’s life. A devoted Christian, he served faithfully as a deacon and was deeply committed to each Baptist church he called home throughout the years. Jerry was not only a leader in title but in action—regularly teaching, guiding, and encouraging others in the church and yes, often fighting for what is fair and right. His steady presence, thoughtful teaching, and servant’s heart left a lasting imprint, reflecting the same integrity and compassion that defined every aspect of his life.
An avid gardener, Jerry viewed the world through the eyes of a botanist, marveling at the miracle of every seed. His passion for plants was more than a hobby—it was a philosophy that reminded all who knew him that, with care and patience, life blossoms in unexpected ways. His garden stood as a living testament to his generosity, nurturing spirit, and enduring hope.
Jerry’s greatest harvest, however, was his family. On March 13, 2026, he and Cyndi celebrated fifty years of marriage—a partnership rooted in love, enriched with joy, and strengthened by resilience. Their legacy includes daughter Holly, who gave Jerry the delight of grandchildren Kayce, Kaytlin Grace, and Kameron Parker; and son Madison, whose wife Shareen and children William, Tyler, and Harrison expanded Jerry’s circle of love. Family gatherings were Jerry’s favorite season—where stories grew freely and laughter flourished.
Jerry’s legacy is not measured in titles or accolades, but in the gentle leadership he modeled, the friendships he tended, and the love he sowed. We gather now not to mourn, but to honor a life beautifully lived—a man who inspired others to grow, flourish, and lead with fairness and heart.
As we remember Jerry Grace, may we carry forward his spirit—in every act of kindness, every thoughtful decision, and every garden we nurture. His story lives on, rooted in the lives he touched and the seeds he planted.
Rest peacefully, Jerry—your light forever shines in those who loved you.
