Jean Grambling Noel, was born April 1, 1922, and was called to her heavenly home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 24, 2017. She was born in Jackson, Mississippi to her parents Mr. & Mrs. J. J. Grambling and was a lifelong resident of the Belhaven community where she raised her family. She was a loving spouse, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, caregiver and friend to many.
She was a graduate of Central High School, attended Millsaps College and graduated from Louisiana State University.
An active member of Riverside Church for over fifty years, she played the piano and served on numerous committees. She was a founding member of a group known as the Mop Ladies. They used their talents to make items, which were sold to raise money for the youth group and church projects. She was an active member of several clubs in the Jackson area. Some of these include: Wise Owl Club, High Noon, Cosmos Luncheon Club and Maids and Matrons. She was also a member of the Ralph Humphries DAR.
She was preceded in death by her husband Julian R. Noel, son Jim G. Noel, Parents J. J. Grambling and sister Gloria Grambling.
She is survived by her four children: Julian (Julie) Noel, Jerrine (Jeffrey) Querin, Janet Noel and Gale Noel. Grandchildren: Ashley (Brent) Smith, Jeff (Alice) Querin, Anita Gail (Will) Ferguson, Anna Kathryn Noel and Julian Walker Noel. Great grandchildren: Garret Smith, Fletcher Smith, and Ellie Grace Ferguson.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 am on Friday, January 27, 2017 followed by funeral services at 11:00 am all at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton. Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park.
