Jean Elizabeth Moreland Harris, died Thursday, January 25, 2018. Visitation will begin at 1:30pm on Sunday, January 28, 2018, followed by services at 3:00pm in the chapel of Wright and Ferguson in Raymond. Burial will be in the Raymond Cemetery.
She was born March 21, 1930, in Lena, MS the daughter of Walterine and Guy Moreland. She was a graduate of Central High School and attended Hinds Junior College. She worked for South Central Bell as an executive secretary. She devoted her life to being a wife and mother. A longtime resident of Raymond, she was a member of Raymond United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Owen R. "Buddy" Harris. Survivors include her children, Daniece Harris Williams and Randall Harris (Laura Love); her grandchildren, Haley Elizabeth Williams, Lindsey Moreland Harris and Owen Myrick Harris as well as other extended family members.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hinds Community College Foundation, (ATTN Mr. and Mrs. Owen R. "Buddy" Harris Scholarship) or Raymond United Methodist Church.
