Jason Lee Johnson, "Lil Bob", 33 of Pearl, peacefully passed away Friday morning, September 14, 2018 after a lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis.
Jason was born on September 2, 1985 in Flowood, MS. He graduated from Pearl High School in 2004. Jason held a few jobs during his life in between severe bouts with his disease. The job Jason enjoyed most was as a Hotshot delivery driver for his uncle, John Johnson. He loved the freedom of being on the road and interacting with his customers.
Jason was very passionate about family, friends, gaming and hardcore Christian metal music. He was extremely positive, even though he faced a life full of challenges. Jason never complained about having CF, or the hardships he experienced because of it. He did whatever he had to do, albeit always at his own pace. Jason's friends, and even those that met him only a few times, speak of coming to love him within moments of meeting him. He was loved by all and disliked by no one. His spirit was so sweet and loving that he positively affected the lives of everyone he came in contact with.
Jason was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert Fuerst, Sr, and Roy Johnson; uncles, Robert Fuerst, Jr., Robert Johnson and William "Billy" Burr.
He is survived by his mother, Rebecca Scott & husband, Steve; father, Harvey Johnson and his girlfriend, Lena Ohanian; sisters, Jeanette Springer, Chanci Robin and Sheryl Lester; brothers, Joseph Johnson, Joshua Johnson, Shawn Scott and Jonathan Scott; grandmothers, Anna Johnson and Mary Jane Fuerst; grandfather, William Burr; Jason's girlfriend, Kristen Thomas; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 10am - 1:00pm at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Flowood with services immediately following at 1pm in the funeral home chapel. Jason will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Jason's honor to the Mississippi Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
