Obituary

Janice Carol Hester, 58 of Brandon, MS, peacefully transitioned to her Heavenly home while surrounded by family and friends on November 5, 2021 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Janice was born July 3, 1963 to W.O. and Joyce Jones in Jackson, MS. She attended Magnolia Academy in Jackson, graduating in 1981, and then studied at Hinds Community College in Raymond.
Janice was employed for several years at Southern Farm Bureau prior to working for twenty-five years in the accounting office at Chris Haynes Electric Supply, Inc. She enjoyed life, listening to music and visiting with her family. She especially enjoyed taking care of her cats Milo, Stich, KeeKee, Izzy and Buddy.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her daughter, Janna Hill (Rhette Cook); sisters, Paula Little (Steve), Tanya Gardner (Ed), Julie Villeret, Marilyn Gauvin; niece, Charlee Hayes (Mike); nephews, Brandon Gardner, Connor Gardner, Ken Villeret (Amanda), Jon Villeret; grandchildren, Tanner, Maley Claire, Rowan, Ryleigh, and Maddox.

Visitation will be Wednesday November 10, 2021 at 11:30 AM followed by a service at 1:00 PM officiated by Bro. Jeff Holland. She will be interred at Flora cemetery in Flora, MS.

A special thanks to her longtime friend Jerrie Lynn Hill for the loving care she gave Janice in her final days and Hospice Ministries, Inc. for their kind and compassionate care.
