Janet D. Brata, 63, passed away at her residence on July 31, 2020. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Flowood, MS. A private family memorial service will held on Tuesday, August 4, 2020.

Janet was born on March 17, 1957 in Jackson, MS and graduated from Brandon Academy in 1975. She loved art, animals, the beach and her children. One of her favorite places in the world was the Neshoba County Fair, which she attended every summer with her friends and family. To know her was to love her. She was kind, giving and selfless; she always put her loved ones' needs before her own. She had a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh. There was never a dull moment with her. She was simply an all-around wonderful person who was loved by many and she will be deeply missed forever.

Janet was preceded in death by her father, Pete Butler; and her stepfather, Edgar Bobo.

She is survived by her son, D. J. Brata; her daughter, Jordan Brata; her mother, Margaret Bobo; and her brother, Jay Butler.
