Jane Taylor passed into the arms of her savior on Thursday, December 29th, at her home in Jackson, MS. She was born May 3rd, 1943, in Daphne, Alabama. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Visitation will be held from 10:00am - 11:00am Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home, Clinton. Funeral services will be at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel followed by interment at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Jane is survived by her son Reed Nelson, her grandchildren: Jenni Vaughn, Jake Nelson, J.T. Philips, and Maddie Philips; her great-grandchildren: Jane Kratochvil and Graham Vaughn; and siblings: Gene Taylor, Jimmy Taylor, Wanda Entriken, and Jeannette Puckett.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Marie and Clifford Taylor, husband George McWilliams, sons: Scott and James Nelson, Daughter-in-law: Jodie Nelson, her Great Granddaughter Nora Vaughn; siblings: Richard Taylor, Robert Taylor, Larry Taylor, Linda Witherington, and Alice Faye O'Connor.

Jane worked as an orthodontist assistant for 27 years and at age 50, went back to school, wherein she received her degree as a Registered Nurse. Her passion drove her to help those she loved in any way possible.

Jane enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She loved her family and devoted her life to protecting and providing the best she could. She was a rock during challenging times for many and always lent an ear to those who needed it. She lived in the fast lane yet always stopped to help a turtle in need.

The family asks, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
