James Kiley Thames, 84, passed away Tuesday July 23, 2024.  Visitation will be held on Friday July 26 from 10:00 am until 11:30 am at Wright and Ferguson in Flowood.  A graveside service will immediately follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Kiley was a graduate of Murrah High School and the University of Southern Mississippi where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity.  After college he spent 40 plus years in the insurance business retiring as an owner from the former Brickell Insurance Agency.  In retirement he enjoyed playing golf with the Senior Men's group at Live Oaks Country Club and attending grandkids sporting events.   He was a longtime member of Riverside Independent Methodist Church.

Kiley was preceded in death by his wife, Dianna Steijen Thames and his parents, Leonard and Gertrude Thames.

Survivors include his two sons, Jay Thames (Chasity) of Ridgeland and Bryan Thames of Memphis; granddaughter, Ann Faires Thames of Ridgeland and twin grandsons, Mac and Smith Thames of Ridgeland; and a sister, Marie Shoemake (Billy Dale) of Collins, MS.
