James Kevin Butts, 56, passed away on April 10, 2021.

Kevin graduated from Woodland Hills Baptist Academy class of 1983, attended Mississippi State University and graduated from Belhaven College. Kevin played baseball at Hinds Community College. He was a member of Kappa Sigma at Mississippi State. Kevin was in national food accounts for 17 years. Kevin started with Daiichi Sankyo Inc in July 2007. He worked his way up to regional oncology account manager. Kevin never met a stranger and was an intentional friend. He was an avid member of the MSU Bulldog Club, a scratch golfer, and all around sports fanatic. Kevin loved traveling all over the world with his devoted wife of 18 years, Melissa. No one enjoyed a fine meal and great music more than Kevin. His pride and joy were his twin girls MacKenzie and Kendall.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Melissa (Hall); daughters, MacKenzie and Kendall; mother, Carolyn; brother, Marty; sisters, Donna Broadus and Lisa Gonzales (Rick); 6 nieces and nephews; preceded in death by his father, George Martin Butts.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 13th from 5-7pm at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Flowood. Visitation will be held 9:30am Wednesday, April 14th with service following at 11am at Pinelake - Reservoir Campus. Private graveside burial to follow. Pallbearers will be Dan Bennett, Jimmy Gathings, Allen Hodges, Kyle Manton, Bobby Park, Gregg Patterson, Heath St. Amant, Michael Ulmer and Mike Zito. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Kappa Sigma Fraternity, current and former Daiichi Sankyo Inc. team.
