James H. Alford, 89, passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at his home in Brandon. Visitation will be held from 5:30pm - 8:30pm Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Flowood. Funeral services will be Monday at 12pm in the funeral home chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens in Brandon.
Mr. Alford is preceded in death by his parents, Rube and Ethel Mae Alford; daughter, Cynthia A. Alford; and grandson, Rami W. Hausey.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Peggy Alford; sons, Joe Alford (Bonnie), Scott Alford, Jeff Alford, Jim Alford (Sherry), Jerry Alford (Beverly), and James Alford (Keisha); brothers, Ben Alford (Margie), Frank Alford (Brenda) and Perry Alford (Linda); sister, Rachael Copeland Thornton; nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
