Mrs. Inez Shoemake, 89, of Jackson, MS passed away on October 2, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, TN. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 46 pm and Monday from 121 pm at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, MS. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 pm in the chapel following visitation. A graveside service will be held at New Sardis Baptist Church in Mount Olive, MS immediately following the service.
Mrs. Shoemake was born on June 25, 1925 in Mount Olive, MS. She attended Mt. Olive High School. She married Ralph Randolph Shoemake in 1944. They had four children together and lived most of their lives in the Jackson area. She was an employee of Sperry Vickers for 30 years. She was an active member of Grace Bible Church on the parkway for 58 years. She loved reading, spending time with her family and was an inspiration to everyone that knew her. We rejoice that she is home with her savior.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph R. Shoemake a brother, Cecil Sullivan and a sister, Ruth Smith.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Welch Cindy of Metarie, LA daughters, Marlene Eady Don of Slayden, MS, Patricia Waltman Jim of Flora, MS, and Norma Thomas Jim of Nashville, TN sister Marie Palmer 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
