Ina Claire Russell McMillian, age 75, died on October 29, 2022 in Jackson, Mississippi.

Ina Claire Russell McMillian was born on November 11, 1946 in Yazoo City, Mississippi to Whitfield and Rosa Lee Russell.  She was raised in the Brownsville community and graduated from Raymond High School.  She went on to get her degree in education from Mississippi College and taught school in the Mississippi Public School System for 30 plus years and retired from Humphreys County School District in Belzoni.  She married Clifton L. McMillian in 1977 and they resided in Belzoni until her retirement and then they moved to Anguilla where they both enjoyed their time together hunting, fishing, and gardening.  She especially loved feeding the hummingbirds.  She attended First Baptist Church of Anguilla. She moved to Clinton in 2018.  In Clinton she attended Parkway Baptist Church and was a member of the Saving Grace Sunday School class.  She made many new friends in Clinton and enjoyed her dominoes group that met every two weeks.

She is survived by her brother, Wayne W. Russell (Carol), niece, Randi R. Burgess (Keith), great nephews, Kai and Carter Burgess, step children, David K. McMillian, Donna M. Smith, David W. McMillian, and Darisa M. Trim, 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, step-son, Donald Eugene McMillian, and grandson, Donnie Arnett.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, November 1 ^st from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. that afternoon at Green Crest Cemetery in Belzoni.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to First Baptist Church of Anguilla, Mississippi.
