Woody Cox was born on October 6, 1947. He lived in Hinds County his entire life. He went home to be with the Lord on August 13, 2016.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Ouida Cox and his brother, James Cox.
He is survived by his wife, Beth Cox, daughters, Kimberly (Daniel) Tackett, and Kristen (David) Tinsley; grandson, Brayden Tackett, brother, Norman (Barbara) Cox all of Raymond, and sister, Theresa Burghard of Jackson.
Woody served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1972. He worked for the United States Postal Service until his retirement in 2004. He also enjoyed many years of farming.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 14th from 4pm to 6pm at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral services will be at 11am on Monday, August 15th at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton with visitation starting at 10am, burial will follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Learned.
