Howard Murray Cohen of Clinton, MS died peacefully at the University of Mississippi Medical Center from heart disease on March 28, 2015. Howard was the band director at Monticello High School from 1966-1970 and the band director of Clinton High School from 1970-1982.

He is survived by his wife, Lucy Ready Cohen, his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Craig Tucker, his son and daughter-in-law Ben and Tria Cohen, and five grandchildren, Matthew, Cole, and Leah Tucker, and Claire and Levi Cohen.

Visitation for Howard will be Monday, March 30, 2015, at Wright and Ferguson Funeral home in Clinton, MS from 10:00a.m. -12:00 p.m., followed by a graveside service at Lakewood Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made, in Howard's honor, to the American Heart Association or to Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency.

The Cohen family gives special thanks and recognition to the many wonderful doctors, nurses and staff of the University of Mississippi Medical Center,and to Gentiva Hospice for the love and care shown to Howard and the Cohen family throughout his illness and this very difficult time.
