Ben Turbeville, 67, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 beginning at 10:00 am and ending at 11:15 am at Christ United Jackson. Services will follow in the church sanctuary at 11:30 am on Wednesday. Burial will follow in the Parkway Memorial Cemetery in Ridgeland.

Homer Benjamin Turbeville was born March 23, 1959 in Jackson, MS to Flo Harris and Luther B. Turbeville. He was a graduate of Murrah High School in 1977 where he met many of his lifelong friends. He was a member of the basketball team and co-captain of the football team. He was a graduate of the University of Mississippi and a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Ben loved sports, hunting, golfing, his family, his friends and his dogs.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Alison Grace. He is survived by his wife, Karlen, his daughter Emily Thompson and her husband Landon, his grandsons, Cannon and Luke Thompson, and his brother, Luther B. Turbeville, Jr. and his wife, Jane. His brother-in-law, Kenny Goldman and his wife, Joy and his nieces and their families. And his Aunts, Jo Graham, Elaine Kelly and Alice Harris, as well as numerous cousins and extended family.

The family would like memorial contributions to Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital or the Baptist Hospital Foundation.
