Homer Clifton Boyd, Jr., age 64, passed away on June 26, 2024 at River Regions Hospital in Vicksburg. He was born and raised in Raymond to the late Homer Clifton Boyd, Sr and Lucille Blackmon Boyd on December 19, 1959. He attended Rebel Academy in Learned then completed a welding program at Hinds Community College in Raymond. He was put to work immediately at SIEMENS Energy in Richland where he worked until he retired 2 years ago after 43 years in various departments.  In his retirement he enjoyed taking care of the yard and riding his lawnmower. He claimed it was his meditation time! He enjoyed watching various TV shows and movies. He loved auto racing and followed and participated in the local stock car races when there was a track in Clinton and then in Byram. And then there was NASCAR!

He loved our Heavenly Father, his wife Mary, his family and friends, old and new. He is preceded in death by his parents, a half-brother, Terry Cagle and various other extended family members.  He is survived by his wife, a half-sister Ann Ezell(Ben), a half-brother Robert Boyd(Sharon) and several nieces and nephews as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.

A gathering for a Celebration of his Life will be held at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Raymond on Thursday July 18, 2024 from 4pm to 5pm with a Memorial Service following at 5pm. There will be no reception or interment following the service.

In lieu of flowers, his wish was to have Memorial donations made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Church or Charity of your choice.
