Henry Hamilton "Hindu" Reynolds of Clinton, Mississippi entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the age of 93. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Faye P. Reynolds and was the devoted father of two children, Cynthia Dutsch (Harold) and Michael Reynolds (Joanne).
"Hindu" was born and raised in Starkville, Mississippi where he attended Mississippi State University. He proudly served his country for three years as a United States Marine stationed in the Marshall Islands during WWII.
After being discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps, "Hindu" was drafted to play professional football for the Chicago Bears. Following his tenure with the Bears, he graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi where he lettered in three major sports. "Hindu" was one of the first alumni inducted into the Southern Miss Sports Hall of Fame in 1965.
"Hindu" was employed with Walker Jones Equipment Co. in Jackson, Mississippi as a Sales Representative. He was an integral part in building clientele for this company and retired after 20 years of service. He was a charter member of the Pinehaven Presbyterian Church as well as an avid golfer and sports enthusiast.
"Hindu" was one of nine children born to Mary Lou and Henry Hamilton Reynolds Sr. in 1924. He is survived by one sibling, David Malcolm Reynolds of Starkville. He was the proud grandfather of Troy "Trey" Ricks, III (Rachel), Crystal Ricks (Louis), Fallon O'Ragan (Robert) all whom reside in Covington, Louisiana and David Reynolds (Casey) of Atlanta, Georgia. He was also blessed with seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, Mississippi. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with services beginning at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, Mississippi.
