Helen M. Shook, 98, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017. A private family graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson.

Helen was born on February 19, 1919 in Marked Tree, Arkansas. She was a member of Capitol Street Church of Christ and Metro Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School and vacation bible school. She enjoyed traveling to Colorado and made four trips to Hawaii. She also enjoyed camping with her sisters in the Smoky Mountains.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. Shook; daughter, Gloria D. Burt; grandchild, Amber Ruffin.

Helen is survived by her children, Dr. Howard E. Shook, Jr., Donald T. Shook (Barbara) and Marcus Shook (Pam); grandchildren, Susan Duncan, Todd E. Burt, Brian Shook, Bradford Shook and Christy Landers; Great grandchildren, Guy English and Joshua Burt.
