Harriet Aura Roberts McEachern was born in Camden, MS on September 28, 1933 to Norris Hall and Hattie Lee Roberts, where she and her brother, Walter, traveled through the area with her parents as her daddy was preaching at various churches.

She died on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Wisteria Nursing & Rehab, where for a month she made a valiant attempt at PT with some caring, dedicated people at the facility.

She married young and was always a stay-at-home mom, a wonderful cook, fierce cheerleader for her children, and took such good care of her husband, especially during his later years. Her memory was incredible, even knew every grandchild's spouse's birthday, even numbers for her various accounts. She could have run a business and instead chose the business of maintaining and nurturing her large family.

Harriet was a member of Griffith Memorial Baptist Church and loved receiving news and prayer lists from the church, even when she could no longer attend services. Any donations in her memory to Griffith or to your favorite charity will be appreciated.

Harriet is survived by seven of her eight children; sons, Mike McEachern (JoAnn) of Pearl, Jim McEachern (Marilyn) of Waynesboro, and Stacy McEachern of Brandon; daughters, Mary Lee Floyd (Tal), of Pearl, Gina Hobby (Chuck) of Ridgeland, Kristi Moore of Pearl, and Laurie Calhoun (Matt) of Jayess; twelve grandchildren and ten great-children. She is preceded in death by her husband of nearly seventy years, James; parents; brother, Walter; and daughter, Celia Kacho.

Funeral services will be held at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Flowood on Thursday, February 8, 2024 with visitation from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon with services immediately following. Internment will be at Floral Hills Memory Garden in Pearl.
