Greg Anderson Flynt, 60, of Clinton, passed away on August 14, 2023. Greg was born on March 27, 1963 in Jackson, Mississippi, to Albert Roy "Buddy" Flynt and Jo Ann Flynt (Gregory). He attended Clinton High School where he was a member of the CHS band and drum line. He was also a founding member and drummer of a local band in Clinton called Mystic. While attending high school he worked at Howard Brothers in Clinton. After high school he worked for Race and Custom Equipment. He loved cars and racing, however his biggest passion in life was trim carpentry. He opened his Cabinet Shop in Clinton alongside his father under the name Flynt Homeworks. For the next 30+ years he would create breath taking kitchens and master bathrooms with beautiful trim and cabinets. If you live in the Jackson Metro area chances are he worked on your home or you know someone who's home he worked on. His legacy will for sure live on his beautiful work. Greg was also passionate about his family. He met the love of his life Carol Ann in 1984. They were married on April 8, 1989. They settled in Clinton and raised two children Laura Beth and Taylor Flynt. He had the joy of becoming a grandfather when his grandson Easton was born in August of 2018. He felt the most at peace when all of his family was together. For his family, there will forever be a void felt with his absence. He was a friend to so many. To know Greg was to love Greg. He would give the shirt off of his back and never ask for anything in return. Greg was preceded in death by his mother Jo Ann Flynt and father-in-law Chester Statham. He is survived by his wife Carol Ann Flynt; children Laura Beth Puhr (Michael) and Taylor Flynt; his grandchild Easton Flynt; his father Albert Roy "Buddy" Flynt; his brother Ricky Flynt (Judy); his mother-in-law Ann Statham; his brother-in-law Jay Statham (Sandi); his sister-in-law Pam Carmean (Allan) and many cousins, nieces and nephews. A visitation for Greg will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and on Saturday, August 19 from 11:00am to 12:00pm with a service following at 12:00pm. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tunnels to Towers or Wounded Warriors Project.
