Grace Yelverton Allred, 96, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 19, 2022. Visitation for Mrs. Allred will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, MS from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at The First United Methodist Church in Clinton at 10:00am. Burial will be at Greendale Cemetery in Roxie, MS at 1:00pm.

Mrs. Allred was born in Taylorsville, MS on April 7, 1926 to Harvey and Bessie Yelverton. Spending most of her life in the Jackson area, she worked for Western Union for 33 years and in later years was Office Manager for her daughter's medical practice. She attended First United Methodist Church in Clinton, MS. Mrs. Allred enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and was a member of the MS Track Club.

Mrs. Allred was preceded in death by her husband Charles R. Allred, Sr.; her parents and sister Bobbie Sumrall.

She is survived by her children Cecelia Allred, M.D., Charles R. Allred, Jr. and Miriam Allred; sister Rose Faircloth and many nieces and nephews.
