In Loving Memory

Gloria Pickett Roberts went to be with our Heavenly Father on Saturday April 26, 2025. She was born in Jackson, Mississippi on March 19, 1935. She was raised in Utica, MS. and graduated from Utica High School.  She married her high-school sweetheart, Elmer J. (Juda) Roberts, Jr., on October 2, 1953 and became the proud mother of three children. She and her husband enjoyed a loving and full life together being married for 68 years. Gloria and her family moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1970 due to her husband's career. After retiring, they returned to her beloved home of Mississippi. Retirement brought many adventures, including cattle farming, running a general store, and traveling. She also enjoyed being a homemaker and gardening. Later in life, she and her husband moved to Clinton, MS. and became members of Pocahontas Baptist Church.

Gloria is survived by son, Mark S. Roberts, daughter, Cynthia R. Hamning (David), grandsons, Richard W. (Wes) Roberts, Benjamin J. Roberts, great grand children, Shelbi R. McCory (Austin), Briana M. Boyd, Kyler D. Boyd, Wesley J. Roberts, and Madden D Boyd.

Gloria was preceeded in death by husband, Elmer J.  (Juda) Roberts Jr., son, Gary J. Roberts, granddaughter, Michelle H. Boyd, mother, Lee Y. P. Riddlehoover, and father, James A. Pickett.

Visitation will be held at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton MS on May 1, 2025 from 9:00 am until 10:30 am, with memorial service following at 10:30 am.

Burial will be at Utica Cemetery in Utica, MS, at 2:30.
