Geraldine "Jerri" Gunnell, 98, passed away at her home on August 14, 2024 after a long illness. Visitation for Jerri will be held at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Flowood, MS on Monday, August 19, 2024 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm with a Funeral Service immediately following. Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Jerri was a long-time member of Pinelake Church and the Truth Seekers Sunday school Class. A hair dresser for over 50 years, Jerri was the definitive people person and her traditional greeting was always "Hey Baby." She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jerri was preceded in death by her husband Paul Gunnell, daughter Greta Askins and twin brother Jake Dempsey Carney.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Martha Lewandowski, one granddaughter, two great grandchildren and her son-in-law Jerry Askins.
