Geraldine V. Bates, 88, passed away on October 18, 2018 in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation for Geraldine will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, MS with a service following at 2:00pm. Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Bates was born on June 17, 1930 in Kentwood, LA. She graduated from Clinton High School and retired from Jimmie Lyles Carpets. She was a member of Southside Assembly of God in Jackson.
She was preceded in death by parents Aline Carsley and Edward Carsley, her husband William E. Bates, brother Charles Carmichael and sister Mary Louise Primes.
She is survived by three children Sharon Gibbs (Antonio), Renee Teeple (Jay), Linda Hawkins (Steve); 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one niece and nephew.
