Georgia Van Devender's Obituary
Georgia Livingston Van Devender of Clinton, MS passed away on November 6, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Harold Van Devender, parents Bronco W. Livingston and Lola Bradford Livingston, sister, Dorothy Tapscott Carter and nephew, Wallace David Hudson.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Van Devender Lollar, four grandchildren, Andrea, Brittany, Katie, and Joseph Lollar; sisters, Violet Tatum, Willodean Hudson and Helen Gowan.
Born in Morgan County, AL on August 22, 1930, Georgia enjoyed being involved in civic and volunteer organizations. She was in St. Florian, AL Civitan Club and also Jackson, MS Civitan Club. She and her husband were also volunteers for the Florence, AL Police Department.
She and her husband Harold also owned and operated JobMate employee leasing company for many years.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org, or to your favorite charity.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 10th from 3-5 p.m. at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton with funeral services at 5 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
