Georgia Nell Cain, 92, passed away on June 20, 2024, in Jackson, MS. Visitation for Georgia will be held at Flowood Baptist Church on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 10:00am to 11:00am with a service following at 11:00am. A graveside will be held at 3:00pm at Fellowship Cemetery in Taylorsville, MS.

Georgia was born on July 23, 1931, in Louin, MS to Martha and Julian Yelverton. She graduated from Jones Community College with a degree in Practical Nursing. She later moved to Jackson, MS and accepted a position as a Receptionist in Critical Care at St. Dominic Hospital where she worked for more than 27 years.

Georgia married James Richard Cain in Hernando, MS and the couple had three children James Douglas Cain of Summerland, MS, Carlen Yvonne Cain of Brandon, MS and Steven Ray Cain of Ocean Springs, MS; four grandchildren Lisa Conn (TJ), Emily Cain, Isabella Keegan and Rusty Keegan and two great grandchildren Brenna Conn and Wesley Conn. Georgia was a social active Lady who was deeply involved in church. She was a loving mother and enjoyed her church family and friends. She will always be remembered as generous, caring and a devoted Christian.
