George Leonard Williams, 70, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6pm on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Raymond. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Monday, June 26, 2017 at the funeral home with visitation beginning at 9:30am before the service. Graveside Services will follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Learned.

Leonard was born on October 3, 1946 in Vicksburg, MS to George Jasper and Rosa Lee Williams. He was a member of Hinds Independent Methodist Church. He retired from Bellsouth and was president of Log Haul Hunting Club.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, George Jasper and Rosa Lee Kelly Williams; his brothers, Homer "Pete" Williams and Mike Williams; and his sister, Shannon Whitehead.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Betty Sessums Williams; his children, Kimberly Williams Martin (John) and Kevin Williams (Christie); his grandchildren, Joseph, Branden, Anna and Tyler Martin, Dylan and Audrey Williams; and his brother, Gregg Williams.
