George Madison Harrigill, age 80, of Clinton, Mississippi peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior at home on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. He had just celebrated his 80th birthday. George was born in Natchez, Mississippi on November 23, 1944. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Nesbitt Harrigill, his mother, Stella Mathilde Harrigill, both of Natchez and his brother, Albert Norris Harrigill.

He is survived by a son, Scott M. Harrigill of Clinton, Mississippi; daughters, Katie Hanley and her husband Hobson of Clinton, Mississippi, Jenni Harrigill of Tampa, Florida, and Amanda Kimbrell and her husband Al Kimbrell of Clinton, Mississippi; grandsons, Dalton Hanley and his wife, Meg of Madison, Mississippi, Trevor Hanley of Clinton, Mississippi, Andrew Kimbrell and Brooks Kimbrell of Clinton, Mississippi; granddaughters, Breckyn Hanley and Lauren Kimbrell of Clinton, Mississippi.

George was a longtime member of Alta Woods Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, a Sunday School teacher and a member of the choir. He graduated from Mississippi State University in 1966, became a CPA and served in that capacity for 47 years. He was with Harper, Rains, Knight and Company when he retired. He loved his God and his family and was a humble man with a servant heart.

He loved to cook, work puzzles, watch his Bulldogs and was always helping his family with their taxes. He loved attending and supporting his grandchildren in their endeavors.

There will be a Memorial Service for George on Sunday, December 22nd at 2:00 with a visitation from 12:30 – 2:00 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, Mississippi.
