George "Gene" Campbell entered into his heavenly home on July 10, 2018 surrounded by family and friends. While complete healing was not to be on this side of heaven, we know he is enjoying complete healing with Jesus. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Dan (Annie Louise) Campbell, his sister, Lura Campbell Burt, paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie (Essie) Campbell and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George W, (Edna) Powers. Grandchildren, Ashley Terwilliger, Jordan Terwilliger & Hunter Campbell Farmer; brother Clyde W. Campbell of Ludlow and sister, Marie Phillips of Pearl. He also leaves behind cherished nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He drove a truck for Jitney Jungle the majority of his career. Other places of employment were City of Flowood and Griffin Industries. He was a Christian who loved his Lord and Savior. He lived a life of servanthood as he sought to minister to others. Always giving and never asking for anything in return. He was a gentle giant among men. He served at Flowood Baptist Church for many years as a Deacon, but more important, as a faithful member.
