It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather George Gordon Bain, better known as "Pop",  82 of Raymond, Mississippi on Sunday December 8, 2024.

Gordon was born on May 17, 1942 in Talladega, Alabama.

Gordon retired from Hinds County Public Works in 2007.  His activities following employment included woodworking, gardening, and assisting with the Hinds County 4H youth during cattle shows.  His favorite pastime was spending time with his four grandsons and watching them in sporting events.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years Patricia Bain, his son Gregg Bain (Connie); and daughter Pam Banes (Kenny); four grandsons Brandon Bain, Peyton Banes, Bryce Bain, and Eli Banes.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the Raymond Cemetery.  All family and friends are welcome to attend.
