Francis David Harpole, sixty-eight, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024.  A lifelong resident of Edwards, Mississippi, and a member and elder of Edwards Presbyterian Church, Mr. Harpole was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and attended Mississippi State University where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity.  He was the son of the late Lucille Noble Harpole and Francis David Harpole and was preceded in death by his wife of forty-two years, Suzanne Smith Harpole.  He is survived by his children, Dudley Noble Harpole and Marianna Harpole Hilbun, granddaughters, Mary Frances Hilbun and Lucy Noble Hilbun, sister and brother-in-law, Lucie Harpole Mashburn and Willis Franklin Mashburn, nephew, William Dunnica Lampton (Meredith), niece, Claire Lucile Grooms (Peter), and great nieces and nephews Sara Lucille Lampton, Margaret Mills Lampton, William Dunnica Lampton, Jr., Marshall Adrian Grooms, Anna Lucile Grooms. The funeral service will be held at Edwards Presbyterian Church on Friday, October 18th at 11 a.m. and officiated by Dr. Guy Richardson and Rev. Thomas Graves. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m.  Pallbearers are Randy Broom, J. R. Burks, Will Lampton, Bill Mashburn, Stephen Montgomery, Andrew Noble, Jeremy Stokes, John Robert Ward.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Edwards Presbyterian Church.
