Elwood Thomas Simpson Jr. (Tom) passed from this life on Tuesday July 30th, 2024. Tom was born in Martin's Ferry, Ohio on August 27th,1951. Tom graduated from Ohio Technical Institute where he studied electrical engineering. After college, he began playing music and traveling the country. He received many achievements for his songwriting including a top 100 hit song and an ASCAP songwriter of the year award. While touring, he met and married the love of his life and soulmate Dotti. They married in 1989 and settled in Jackson, Mississippi. Tom and Dotti shared a beautiful 32 year marriage and two children. Tom was an exceptional brother, friend, coworker and devoted dad. He truly never met a stranger and embraced everything life had to offer. The legacy of the lives he touched will live on forever.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents Lorna and Elwood Simpson Sr., his soulmate Dorothy Odeneal Simpson, and his brother Steve Simpson. Tom is survived by his children Amanda (AJ) ,Trey, his brother Mike Simpson (Lisa) and family.  Tom also was loved by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, cherished friends and musicians.
