We are all here to say our goodbye to Eleanor Virginia Dixon, known to her family and friends as "Ginger". She was born October 10, 1938 in Georgia. She was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. John L Copeland of Jacksonville, Fl. After she married John Wesley Dixon, they moved to Silver Creek, Ms. she dedicated her live to raising her family and caring for her husband. She played the organ at the Baptist church and sang in the choir. She loved to work in her garden and travel. The Holy Land was her favorite place to visit. After her children were grown, John and Ginger relocated to Raymond, Ms.
Ginger is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. John L Copeland, her husband John Wesley Dixon, her brother John Copeland Jr, sisters Jean Crews and Ann Connors.
She is survived by her sister Dottie Rhodaback of Jacksonville, Fl. Children: Sherry Polk and husband Buell of Raymond, MS., John Wesley Dixon and wife Christy of Converse, La and David Dixon and wife Belle of Raymond, Ms. (Mimi to her grandchildren) Gordon Tap Van Horne, Wesley Van Horne, Casey Dixon, Corey Dixon,
Taylor Dixon, John Wesley Dixon III, Karlea Dixon and great granddaughter Rosie Williams.
Ginger now has her wings and can reunite with the love of her life, John Dixon for eternity.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 am on Tuesday April 6, 2021 followed by an 11:00 am service at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Raymond. Burial will be in the Raymond Cemetery.
