Elmer "Juda" Roberts went to be with the Lord on January 17, 2022 at the young age of 86. Juda was born in Utica, MS and graduated from Utica Highschool in 1953. He married his highschool sweetheart and celebrated their wedding anniversary of 68 years on October 2, 2021. He was the proud father of three children. He was employed with the Illinois Central Railroad for 30 years which led him to move to Illinois to start a new chapter in his life, after retirement in 1983, he moved back to his beloved Mississippi where he took on a new adventure as a cattle farmer. He was a member of Wynndale Baptist Church and served as Deacon for many years. After moving to Clinton, MS he became a member of Pocahontas Baptist Church.
Juda is survived by his wife Gloria P. Roberts, his son Mark S. Roberts, his daughter Cynthia R. Hamning (David), his grandchildren Richard "Wes" Roberts (Christy), Michelle H. Boyd, Benjamin J. Roberts, his great grandchildren Shelbi M. Roberts, Julia Peoples, Briana M. Boyd, Kyler D. Boyd, Madden D. Boyd, Wesley J. Roberts, sisters Ella L. Price and Annette P. Ferguson (Bill).
He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer J. Roberts, Sr., Ella L. Price and his eldest son Gary J. Roberts.
Visitation for Juda will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Wright and Ferguson in Clinton from 10:00am to 12:00pm followed by a service to honor his life at 12:00pm. His final resting place will be Utica Cemetery, where a graveside will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022.
