Elizabeth (Betty) Baldwin Brock, 67, of Jackson, passed away October 20, 2016, following complications of ALS. Betty was the daughter of the late Cecile and Maurice Baldwin of Jackson. She received her Masters of Library Science Degree from LSU and served as a high school, college and state librarian as well as with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Peru.
She is survived by her husband, Jim (James N.) Brock, Jr.; her son, James Brock III; sister-in-law, Debbie Brock; and father-in-law, Coach J. N. Brock, Sr., all of Jackson. She is also survived by a sister, Margaret (Paul) Tokunaga, and a nephew, Samuel Tokunaga, of Decatur, Georgia, as well as a host of cousins who dearly loved her.
Betty's life was full of love for God, people and books. Her heart was invested in her church and in God's mission to reach the world. She cared deeply about International students as well as the tribal peoples of Peru.
She loved her family and she spent many years as a homeschool teacher to her son. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 8 from 6-8 pm at Wright & Ferguson in Clinton. Memorial service will be Wednesday, November 9 at 1:30 pm at Providence Presbyterian Church in Clinton with reception following. Private burial will be at Utica Cemetery.
