Elaine King Lifer, 91, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton. A private family graveside will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Elaine was born on October 6, 1927 in Monroe, Louisiana. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was an active member at Morrison Heights Baptist Church and had also worked there in the kindergarten daycare for over twenty years.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, John Walter Lifer; brothers, Charles Samuel King and Clyde Wayne King; her sister, Gloria King Downs; and her second husband, Malcolm Whitney.

She is survived by her sons, John W. Lifer, Jr. (Judy) and James D. Lifer (Michelle); her grandchildren, Darby Lifer, Clayton Lifer, Melissa Lifer, Alise Lifer; and seven great grandchildren.
