Elaina Jefferis Stewart, 60, of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025. She was born in Forest, Mississippi to Rebecca Harrison Jefferis and Michael Roy Jefferis. Elaina gained her work ethic from her father, who believed in a good education and career. She grew up in the metro Jackson area, attending school at St. Andrews, before moving to Madison where she attended Madison-Ridgeland Academy. The family then moved to Canton and Elaina attended and graduated from Canton Academy in 1983, commuting there from her family's home in Brandon. She then attended Millsaps College where she received her B.B.A. in 1987.

Elaina remained in Brandon after college and initially worked for a brokerage firm for five years. She received her insurance license in 1998 and worked at a few agencies until she found her entrepreneurial spirit and started Riverside Insurance Agency in 2001. Elaina worked as a dedicated, independent insurance agent, advocating for her clients. Her co-workers and employees were also part of her family.

Elaina was many things to many people, including mother, Nayna, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend. She loved people and animals, especially her dogs Rosie, Delilah, and Molly, and gave love freely to both with her whole heart. Elaina loved college football, and The Rolling Stones. You could count on finding her in front of a television on Saturdays during football season fiercely cheering on her beloved Ole Miss Rebels.

Elaina is survived by her daughter, Haley Stewart Bridges (Billy); grandson Braxton Pennock; mother, Rebecca Harrison Jefferis; father, Mike Jefferis (Elle); brothers, William Jefferis (Sheri), Clif Jefferis (Laura), and Russell Jefferis; sister, Luran "Randi" Lancaster (Brian); along with a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous dear friends and loved ones.

Services will be held at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 4th. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM with a memorial service at 3:00 PM.  Interment occurring at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to St. Jude or CARA of Mississippi.
