Obituary

Edra Ann was born January 27, 1946 to Woodie and Gert McMillian in DeWitt, AR. Both preceded her in death. She was their firstborn child but a brother, Bud McMillian (Kaye), and sister, Mary Lynn McMillian Ford (Freddie), followed within the next three years. Edra Ann was a natural leader, as was evident early on when she stepped into her self appointed role as her siblings voice of persuasion. They can attest to some of the lasting stories her influence added to all the family get togethers through the decades. She was also quite talented, playing the piano by the age of 3. She used this gift to bless her family, teach countless VBS children about Jesus, and serve many years as the church pianist for Eastside Baptist Church in DeWitt, the same church she attended when she gave her life to Jesus Christ as a child.

Edra Ann met and married the love of her life, Lemuel Combs, after graduating from DeWitt High School. They have been married over 56 years. Together they raised their daughters, Tamyra Lynn Combs Fish Davis (Terry), Angela Marie Combs Hickman (Scott) and A'Leta Ann Combs McDaniel Lewis (Jon) and their son, Lemuel Austin "Tu" Combs (Caroline). Edra Ann was Nana to her grandchildren Jaymie Gaines (Charles), Trey Fish, Austin Hickman, Kailyn Fish, Carney McDaniel, Kameron Morrison, Bleau Hickman, Stone Hickman and Ella Combs; and great grandchildren Alyssa, Hayden, Lucky, Cruz, Broox and Creed Gaines.

She had a great mind for business, managing and performing the clerical duties for multiple businesses throughout her life. Her benevolent heart led her to give of herself and her resources to help so many who needed love, a friend, food, shelter, clothing, advice or just a hug from a someone who cared.

She left this earth peacefully Thursday, July 1, 2021 to enter heaven and start her eternity with her true Father. There's no way to put into words the impact her life had on everyone she touched while she was here, or the longing to join her in heaven and see her again left in the hearts of those who loved her so dearly.
