Edith F. Laird, 101, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 22, 2022. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2022 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home, 114 Burney Drive, Flowood, MS. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at St. Marks United Methodist Church in Brandon, MS. Interment will follow at Felder's United Methodist Church, John Felder Memorial Cemetery in Summit, MS.

Edith was born in 1921 to Marvin and May Felder. She and her late husband, Lt. Col. Henry Lee Laird USAF retired, were charter members of St. Marks United Methodist Church and members of the choir. She worked for several Federal civil service agencies for 20 years and retired from the USDA, Soil Conservation Service in 1990.

Edith was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Laverne Beam and brother, Edwin Felder.

She is survived by her sister, Rebecca Lofton; sons, Hank Laird and wife Carolyn of Winter Garden, Florida; Keith Laird and wife Carol of North Richland Hills, Texas; grandson, Brian Laird and wife Renee of Winter Garden, Florida; and great-grandson Josh Laird of Winter Garden, Florida.
