Dorothy Sue Simpson (Dotti) Dotti passed from this life peacefully on May 20, 2021, surrounded by family. Dotti was bom on September 5th, 1960 in Clinton Mississippi. She grew up working at her parent's gas station, the Quick Stop and is remembered by many Clintonians. She was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and Mississippi College with degrees in nursing and healthcare administration. She began nursing at the age of 17. She met her dear husband and soulmate Tom Simpson and was rnarried in 1989. The two shared a beautiful 31 year marriage with two children. She worked in nursing for almost 43 years at Baptist Hospital in Jackson. The ripple effect of the lives she touched through her job is immeasurable. She was an exceptional Mom, nurse, friend, coworker and sister. She poured her heart into caring for others. She will be remembered for her resilience, bravery, kind heart and love for everyone.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Mable Odeneal and her father, John Odeneal. She is survived by her loving husband Tom, two children, Amanda (AJ Rooney), her son Trey, her brother, Bobby Odeneal (Alyce), her sister Judy Fortenberry, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, MS. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. May 26, 2021 with visitation beginning one hour before the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, it was her wish that donations be made to the Baptist Health Foundation.
