Dorothy Wyldmon Purvis, 76, of Clinton died Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Clinton Healthcare. Visitation will be held on Thursday at 10:30 AM followed by funeral services at 11:30 AM all at Wright and Ferguson funeral home in Clinton. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.Mrs. Purvis was born in Yazoo City on December 30, 1938 the daughter of the late, Albert and Ada Collins Wyldmon having grown up on Graball Hill. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was retired from Southern Farm Bureau after 28 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her granddaughter, Kristin Purvis and her brother, Buddy Wyldmon.She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Richard Purvis; her son, Ricky Purvis and his wife, Dianne; her daughter, Darlene Purvis-Lestrade and her husband, John; her son, William Purvis and his wife, Crystal; sisters, Ruby Hinkle, Ada Wyldmon and Connie Wyldmon; and her grandchildren, Daniel and Drake Odom, Travis, Elijah, Noah and Grace Purvis.The family request that memorial contributions be made to the Bethel Cemetery Association, Flora, MS
