Dorothy Harrison Lammons, 92, passed away quietly, February 4, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 9, 2025 from 1pm – 2:30pm at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home located at 106 Cynthia Street, Clinton, MS. Dorothy (Dot) was born in Union, Mississippi on December 28, 1932 to Rufus Selwyn and Drusilla Harrison. She graduated from Union High School and moved to Jackson where she met her husband of 57 years, Wallace (Wally) Harden Lammons. Founded on a strong faith in Jesus, they built a family and fulfilling life together. They also started and had a thriving business. Dot was known as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

"Gigi" was probably the best name she liked and was called this by family and friends alike. She loved games and playing cards. Game nights with her children and grandchildren were some of the most special times. The majority of the times may have ended with Gigi winning, but, they were always fun filled moments with everyone having the best conversations. She also enjoyed classic movies, gardening and was a member of Pocahontas Baptist Church.

Gigi is survived by her children, Lesia (Ed) Rouse, Dawn Best, Angeline (David) Howard and Wally (Jeanie) Lammons. She was also blessed with wonderful grandchildren: Bill (Jennifer) Walker, Justin (Lydia) Best, Cody Lammons, Dylan Creel, Matt Lammons, Eric Thompson, Logan (Jessi) Thompson and Brian (Laura) Thompson, Deanie Walker, Lauren (Eric) McNeely, Connie Howard and Alison Howard. And, equally favored with her great grandchildren: Collin Best, Jase Walker, Caleb McNeely, Blake Thompson, Rilyn Best, Hannah Kate Walker and Lily McNeely.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wally, her beloved daughter Bridgett, her great grandson Karson Sanders, her brother Jerry Harrison, sisters, Jeanece Harrison, Sylvia Ann Webb, Jeanette Byram, her son in law Tim Best (Dawn) and several brother in laws and sister in laws.

Last but not least – Dot's favorite Bible verse is John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.

She will be forever in our hearts and missed deeply.
