Doris Thornton Marble, 74, passed away on February 7, 2023. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 10, 2023 at Salem Baptist Church in Learned, MS with visitation beginning at 10 a.m.

Doris was born November 16, 1948 in Raleigh, MS. She worked over 30 years and retired from Cal-Maine Foods. She was fun loving, always the life of the party, and known as Queen Doris. She was one of a kind and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren like no other. Nanna could light up any room she walked in and brought laughs everywhere she went. We were all blessed to be loved by her and all the time we had with her. There will never be another like our Nanna.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Limmie and Lela Curtis Thornton; her brothers, John Thornton, Ed Thornton and Jimmy Dale Thornton; her sisters, Gencie Patton and Shirley Jackson.

She is survived by her husband, William Marble, Jr.; her sons, Larry Worrell (Lisa) and David Worrell (Anita); grandchildren, James Richard Worrell, Brandi Worrell Bishop (Blake), Hunter Blake Worrell (Haley) and Adam Isaiah Worrell; great grandchildren, Emory Grace Worrell and Sawyer Blake Bishop; and her sister, Betty Anderson.
