Doris Burnham Denson, 89, of Jackson, MS, left us to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday May 6, 2023. Services will held in the chapel of Wright & Ferguson in Flowood on May 9, 2023. Visitation will be 9:30 to 11:30 with memorial service following at Wright & Ferguson. Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Doris was born May 28, 1933 to the late George Luther and Delphia Burnham in Ellisville, MS. She was married to the late Dr. Robert Hilton Denson for 56 years. Doris graduated from Mississippi College with a degree in business education and was a member of the Jackson Jaycee's. She worked at GMAC, was the assistant to the president of Millsaps College, assistant to the pastor at Epworth United Methodist Church and taught business at Phillips College before retiring. Doris served her Lord in different ways including singing in the choir, leading children's choir, teaching vacation Bible school and serving on committees. She loved traveling with Bob and loved spending time with and caring for her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, three sisters and one brother.

She is survived by her two daughters, Beverly (Mark) Moore and Kimberly Denson, grandsons, Ian (BreeAnna) Moore and Dustin Moore, and two great grandchildren Ryder and Rivers Moore.
