Donald Ray Lindsey, Sr. went to be with the Lord early Monday morning February 20, 2023 at his home in Raymond, MS. He was known by many as "Don".

Don was born in West, MS on March 4, 1945. He attended school in Carmack, MS, and spent most of his childhood and adolescence in Kosckiusko, MS.  In later years, Don worked much of his life as a Meat Manager at Kroger in Clinton, MS.

Those who knew him well knew that he loved Jesus, his family, his friends, and Elvis Presley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Willie Ray Lindsey of Winona; four brothers, James Lindsey, Freddie McBride, Kenny Lindsey, and David Lindsey; a sister, Betty Green; and daughter, Donna McElhenney.

Don is survived by his wife, Geneva Lindsey of Raymond, MS; brother, Bill Lindsey; and sister, Ima Dees; four children, Melissa Staten and husband Joey, Trey Lindsey, Tasha Wright and husband Lance, Donnie Lindsey and wife Amanda; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren .

Visitation will be held Friday February 24, 2023 from 11am-1pm at the Wright and Ferguson funeral home in Raymond, MS, with the service to follow at 1pm. A graveside service will be held at the Hinds Independent Methodist Church cemetery, located at 14938 Old Port Gibson Road, Raymond, MS 39154
