Donald A. VanLandingham, 73, of Brandon, MS passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 8, 2022.

Don was born in Drew, MS on Friday, March 19, 1948 to the late V.B "Sonny" and Mary Lee VanLandingham. He grew up at Parchman, MS and graduated with the Drew High School Class of 1966.

Don served in the National Guard as a SFC of the 20th Group Special Forces A-team "Green Beret". He was employed at School Pictures of MS for 26 years where he ended his career as President. Later became owner of Photo Images and most currently owner of Central MS Specialties where he retired. Don was an avid hunter and member of the Dark Hollow Hunting Club in Copiah County for the last 35 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Don is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Roy and Tracy VanLandingham.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Virginia VanLandingham; sons, Lee Anthony VanLandingham (Stacy) and Brian Justin VanLandingham; daughter, Stacey VanLandingham; grandchildren, Mary Beth and John VanLandingham brothers, Myron VanLandingham (Kathy) and Byron VanLandingham (Teresa); sisters, Sandra Parham and Janet Harmon (Rob); many nieces and nephews; and his granddogs.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00am Friday, January 14, 2022 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home, Flowood with visitation from 9:00am – 11:00am. Due to the rise in Covid cases the family request that all friends and family wear a mask and practice social distancing.
