David Clyde Schoggen, age 68, of Clinton, MS passed away November 30, 2022 at his home. A celebration of life service will take place Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Morrison Heights Baptist Church with Dr. Scott Fortenberry and Dr. Greg Belser officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Clinton Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, December 2, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Morrison Heights Baptist Church and Saturday at 10:00 AM prior to the service.

David was born August 29, 1954 in Columbus, Mississippi to the late William Leroy Schoggen and Georgie Elaine Oliver Schoggen. He was a graduate of S.D Lee High School and Mississippi State University. He received a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and went on to earn his professional engineer license. David was employed at MP&L and Entergy for 40 years. He was a member of Morrison Heights Baptist Church. David loved God, Ann, his children, their spouses, and his three grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. David enjoyed watching two of his grandchildren play soccer and spending time with the youngest grandson. David was an avid Mississippi State Bulldog fan who enjoyed attending Mississippi State sporting events with Ann and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Hildreth Schoggen; daughter, Carley Marett and her husband Allen of Clinton, MS; son, Will Schoggen and his wife Pamela of Clinton, MS; and son, Phil Schoggen and his wife Miranda of Brandon, MS. Grandchildren Murphy and Macy Kate Schoggen of Clinton, MS, and Fen Schoggen of Brandon, MS; brothers Leroy Schoggen and his wife Linda of Columbus, MS, and Bill Schoggen and his wife Jeri of Sterling, Virginia, as well as nieces and nephews.
