David Leslie Johnson, age 80, died of natural causes on November 12, 2022 in Ridgeland, MS.

David is survived by his sisters, Jonnie Claire Johnson, of West Virginia and Charlotte Lynn West (Mark), of Ohio; his children, Clay Johnson (Tammy), of Houston, Kris Parsons (Michael), of Eupora, Brad Johnson (Mary Leigh), of Columbus, GA, and Skye Gray (Michael), of Pearl; his 9 grandchildren and 8 great grand-children.

David was born on January 10, 1942 in Smithville, MS, to parents, David Warren and Theola Cowley Johnson. He graduated from Raleigh High School in 1960.  David began training as a student pilot in 1966, earning his private pilot license in 1967.  In his fifty plus year career as a pilot he worked for many different companies as a corporate pilot.

David was a great man and a loving father who devoted his life to the well-being of his children and grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 12:00 with a service to follow at 2:00 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Flowood, MS.  Dr. Ricky Gray will officiate.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate David's life.  The family would like to thank everyone for the continued prayers and support during this time.
