David Ashley Ballard, 45, passed away at his home on July 20, 2016. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2016, beginning at 12:30 p.m. followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton. Interment will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park.

David was born on July 1, 1971, in Jackson, MS and he lived in Clinton all of his life. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1989. He received his bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1994. He was self-employed and owned his own landscaping business. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and his favorite driver was Jeff Gordon. He never met a stranger and was loved by many.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert F. Ballard and Pat Ballard.

He is survived by a sister, Robin Ballard Allen, and a brother, Sean William Ballard; niece, Victoria Barrentine, nephews, Elliott Allen and Cameron Ballard, and an uncle, John H. Ballard.
